Account questions

It usually happens when an account has not been verified yet. We suggest you check your inbox and spam folder for an email from the side. Once you get the email, please check and enter the verification code. If the email is found in spam, mark it as Not Junk / Spam to ensure you receive communications from us in the future. If you have not received this email, we recommend you contact your network administrator. They may need to whitelist our domain for you to receive our emails. If you still cannot gain access, please contact us.

"Gappeo does not accept personal email addresses such as Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft, etc. for account creation. Our system does not accept personal email addresses such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc. for account creation.
We have a few reasons for blocking sign up for certain email addresses: - Our service is for the use of companies for creating and delivering pre-employment skills tests as part of their hiring process.
We do not provide personal training or educational services. - Blocking personal email addresses from registering prevents candidates from signing up and trying to take tests themselves before taking your test."

First, you need to downgrade your subscription to a Free plan. Once this is done, you can contact us to have your account deleted.

To add users to your Gappeo Account go to the Users & Reports -> Users Section. Click on the Add User button, and provide the details of the users i.e. name and email address. Note: Here only the work email address is valid.

Billing questions

"Test credits are used when an external candidate has been invited to the test and has started taking it. You can purchase extra credits whenever needs. If you run out of candidate credits while a test is live, we've got you covered! Your candidates will never be blocked from taking their test. As soon as your candidate balance has been paid, you'll have access to the results. Candidate credits are used on a per-candidate, per-test basis. 1 candidate can take any number of tests for the cost of 1 credit."

Yes, we do offer a free trial. In the free trial, you will be activated for Free Plan. Here you will get an unlimited number of tests and 10 credit points. You can buy credits as per your need.

Yes, we offer a Pay-as-you-go plan. It includes unlimited tests and 100 candidate credits to start, with the option to purchase more credits as needed. Full details of this plan can be found on our pricing page.

You can either change your plan by going into Settings -> Payment Plans. Or else you can just email info@gappeo.com. We will send you the details from our end.

Test & Test questions

For preserving the test integrity, Gappeo does not provide this feature. Most of our tests have a question bank of more than 100 questions, we have our algorithm designed to select questions from this list. That is why, we do not allow these question banks to be viewed in full by any individual.

Yes, you can do it. You need to click on the Take a test button on the Invite page to do so.

All our tests listed on the Gappeo platform are proctored tests.

No you cannot edit/delete custom test. But we do provide an option to create unlimited number of custom tests.

By default, the time limit for any test is 30 minutes. For custom tests, you can define the time limit, by clicking on the Edit button in the Create Custom Test -> Test Details Page

Analyzing results questions

To view the Candidates' results, go to the User & Reports -> Reports Section. Click on the Eye Icon to view the result for any candidate.

Candidate needs to first give a test, then only you see the questions and answers for any test. To do so go to the User & Reports -> Reports Section. Click on the Eye Icon.

The default benchmark setting is All Candidates. This means they are being compared to all other candidates who have taken the same tests. With this benchmark selected, the score shown is a percentile rank. If a candidate has 40% displayed, this means they performed better than 40% of candidates who took the same test. While this may seem low, bear in mind that they are potentially being compared to thousands of others.

Benchmark scoring allows you to make fair comparisons between candidates who have taken tests. Your candidates' tests are scored as a percentile rank, demonstrating how they performed relative to other candidates. This allows you to fairly compare your candidates against each other, or others with similar qualifications, seniority level, or experience!

Candidate related questions

No this features is not available right now. You need to take test from laptop or tablet.

It is not possible to reset tests. If a candidate needs to retake a portion of the tests for any reason, they will need to start the test again. You need to invite them again by sending them the test link again.

It may happen that your test credits are over, please check them. Add new test credits then it will start working.

If you have entered the correct and valid email that you received from the candidate then please contact us.

The candidate will receive an email invite from Gappeo. The email would have the instructions on how to take a test, along with a link and verification code. Click on the invitation link, enter the verification code and you set to take a test

Other questions

Gappeo platform is not intended for education or training uses, but we do have customers who use it for this purpose.

We do not currently offer reseller opportunities, nor do we have current plans to offer this.

Currently, you cannot turn off the proctoring feature. But, in the future you will get this feature.

Yes, your data is private, protected, and GDPR compliant. Gappeo is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) on secure servers. The AWS infrastructure is designed to be one of the most secure computing environments in the world. Additionally, we have our own strict security protocols and make daily backups of all of your data. As a data processor, we are fully GDPR and SOC2 compliant.

Candidate Guide

Tests & Tests questions

No. The invitation link sent to you can be used only once. This link will expire once you have completed the test. To retake the test please connect with the company that sent you the test.

You might have given the test once or clicked on it. The invitation link automatically expires once you click or once you have given the test. If you have not done anything and still shows the above message, then connect with the company that sent you the link.

For any test if the company has a deadline, then you must take try to complete the test within that given time frame. If this is not possible, then you should contact the company you applied to.

No, you cannot. If you are unsure of the answer to a question, try guessing. There isn't a penalty for wrong answers. Better to score a point through luck, than to skip and guarantee no points for that question.

Gappeo does not offer any tests for personal use, studying, or educational purposes, nor do we issue any certificate of completion. 

The company you applied for has likely included qualifying questions in their test. These are used to ensure that only candidates who meet their minimum requirements can take the full test. If one of your answers disqualifies you, the test will end, saving you time.

For the timer of individual tests or questions, all the progress gets saved automatically. The next test or question will start after that the timer expires. If you are on the last question and you run out of time on that one, then the test is marked as complete, and the results are generated and sent to the respective company.

Data & privacy questions

In Gappeo, all the tests are proctored i.e. we take snapshots of you during your test. It helps in ensuring that nobody is assisting you and that the test taker is the same person who is begin interviewed or hired. Only the hiring company that sent an invite has access to these snapshots and this data is stored within GDPR regulations.

Equipment & connectivity questions

No you cannot do so. This feature is not supported currently.

In such scenarios, access a different computer that has a webcam. Try to borrow a camera from a friend. If not then contact the company that sent you the test.

Please contact the company you applied to directly for this.

"This can happen in several scenarios. Some of the solutions for the issue are listed below: - Ensure you have granted permission for your browser to access your camera. - Ensure you are using a supported browser. - If you have multiple camera devices, ensure you have given your browser and our website permission to use the right device. - Try launching the test in incognito mode/in a private window. - Ensure your camera drivers and web browser are up to date. - Restart your device and try accessing the test again using the link in the invitation email."

This mostly happens most often when there is a problem with the internet connection. If the connection is slow or unstable, then you might face issues loading questions and saving your answers. We would recommend you check your internet connection once.

Invitation & communication questions

Gappeo does not keep track of your application. Please connect with the respective company for the same.

Please connect with the company for the results. Even this company is not obliged to show the results

You can contact them via any means they have provided their job posting on their company website or other job sites. We do not have any contact details that we can share with the potential employer.

Once your test ends then it would show a message saying: Thanks for completing this test. You can close this window now. Your answers are saved and a report will be made available based on that to the hiring company. You will not receive a confirmation email regarding the completion of your test.

If you are expecting an invitation from Gappeo, first please check your spam folder. If it is there, then mark the email as Not Spam. If it is not there, contact us so we can check from our end.

Please check your test thoroughly so that you have fully completed your test. Once you submit your test you will get a message: Thanks for completing this test. Close that window.

For any technical difficulties while taking a test or to provide feedback about the tests you connect with us. For everything else (time of test, test content, the status of your application, etc.) we recommend contacting the company for the fastest and most direct answers, as Gappeo does not have access to this information.

Other questions

Unfortunately not. Gappeo is a pre-employment skill test tool that is used by companies for hiring purposes.

We don't offer this type of service. We do not offer any tests for personal use, studying, or educational purposes, nor do we issue certificates of completion.

If you have been invited to take a test, you do not need to create an account in our system. The prospective employer should have invited you to take the test via an email that comes from Gappeo. Just click on the link or button in the invitation, and it will redirect to the assessment screen.
